Facial Image & Sensitive Data Notice

Purpose

This notice explains how BEAUTIER AI (operated by Afro Cannect Inc.) handles facial images and other sensitive personal information that you choose to provide. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What we collect

Only if you provide express consent, we collect a single selfie image for cosmetic analysis (e.g., visible surface texture, apparent tone characteristics, general face shape). You may also decline and use our questionnaire-only path.

How we use it

  • Generate a cosmetic Beauty Audit™ (educational, non-medical).
  • Transient processing only — the image is analyzed and immediately discarded.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not train AI models on your image.
  • We do not perform facial recognition or match your image against other individuals.
  • We do not infer race, ethnicity, religion, health conditions, or other sensitive attributes.
  • We do not sell or share your image with advertisers.

Retention & deletion

The selfie is processed in-memory and never persisted to our storage. If you later opt in to progress photos, those are stored in a private, per-user encrypted bucket and can be deleted at any time from the Privacy Centre. Original selfies are always deleted within 24 hours of upload, at the latest.

Third-party AI processing

Analysis is performed via our AI provider (currently the Lovable AI Gateway routing to Google Gemini). Processing occurs transiently for a single request; the provider is contractually prohibited from training on your data.

Consent & withdrawal

Biometric consent is separate, unticked by default, and versioned. You may withdraw at any time in the Privacy Centre; future analyses will require re-consent.

Age restriction

You must be 18 or older to upload a selfie or subscribe to BEAUTIER AI.

Not a medical service

BEAUTIER AI is a cosmetic and educational platform. It does not diagnose, treat, or predict any medical condition. If our observations suggest you may benefit from professional advice, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
